Adrian walked over to Leila and put his hand on her side. “What do you think we should do with him?”, he asked while gazing down at the tiger’s face.

She looked up at him, wishing that she could communicate what had happened to the last man that held a similar knife. Unable to speak to her person, she stood up and started pacing the room, thinking to herself.

She could kill this person, but would that be helpful? She longed to know where he came from. She could bring him with them to the city. How would that work though?

After a few short hours, Arian woke up feeling unrested. He looked over at the man who was sitting very still in front of Leila. He had absolutely no idea what to do with this unnamed person. This is one of the moments where Adrian truly wished tigers could talk.

Leila probably knew exactly what to do in a situation like this.

Adrian quickly grabbed the knife the man had, took his hands, and tied them together with the rope. He then pulled the man into his room, and propped him against the wall.

“Now, you are going to just stay right here”, Adrian said to the man. “If you try to move, then I’ll let Leila do whatever she wants with you”, he finished as he glanced at his tiger.

Leila growled.

Adrian walked back over to his bed, curled in the blanket, and quickly fell back asleep.

Leila on the other hand, chose to sleep directly in front of their prisoner, with one ear attuned to his movements.

He rocked back on his heels and sighed. Adrian could not think clearly with sleep still fogging his mind. Finally, he walked over to his pack near the bed and extracted a length of rope. “Leila, we need to roll him over so I can tie his hands behind his back”, Adrian said as he made his way back over to the man.

Leila growled down at the man, took a giant paw, and tapped him on the side.

The man looked both frightened and humiliated, but reluctantly he started to roll onto his stomach.
